Takeaways of 2017

Happy New Years!!

Wow 2017 definitely went by in a blur. Something I want to make sure that I always do is be real with you guys. It was one of the hardest but also one of the most growing years yet for me. This year was filled with a lot of ups and downs, losses, and lessons. I lost a lot of people who I thought were in it for the long run, but I also gained many new friendships that I am thankful for. I learned more about myself and who I want to become through these experiences. Hardships are not fun but are an important part of the process as they reveal who we truly are. It’s often in the hard times that we discover how strong and resilient we are. My faith grew and my real relationships grew over the last year.

Through those changes I was able to start this blog, my youtube channel, take leadership roles, a few modeling opportunities and even score an interview on the news! How amazing is that?! I’m now grateful for the hardships because I know that God turns everything into an opportunity to show His goodness and take us further towards our purpose.

I learned to let go of things holding you back and move forward in faith of better things ahead. There is beauty in the process so learn to embrace the highs and the lows!

I want to share a few things I’ve learned in this season of my life so you can hopefully use it for yourself:

  1. First of all know who you are and DO NOT change it for anyone!
  2. Secondly, live intentionally! Life is to short to let opportunities pass you by.
  3. In every single thing that you do know exactly the reasoning behind it and trust yourself to do the right thing. In doing this don’t compromise who you are or what you believe for anything or anyone else!

People will always let you down but God never will. His plans for your life are way better than your own. Trust Him even when it feels like your world is falling apart because He will replace what isn’t for you with His very best.

As 2018 quickly approaches here are a few things I’m most excited for:

~taking on new opportunities

~traveling

~growing my blog and reaching more people

~starting my last year of high school

~living everyday with intention!!

I want to encourage you to start 2018 with a new mindset of purpose and intention.

Happy new year loves, wish you the best.

goodbye 2017
