HAPPY EASTER & MY UNINVITED TAKEAWAYS

HAPPY EASTER LOVES,

Feeling God’s love a little extra today!! I wanted to share with you a little bit about a book I just finished reading but first… I just want to encourage y’all on this Easter Sunday to make not only today, but everyday about Him! Romans 8:39 says that nothing can separate us from God’s love.

This means no sin, insecurity, failure, loneliness, nothing you face can separate you from the Love He has for you! Set aside all feelings of weariness and ask God to embrace you in His mighty love.

I’m not much of a reader. Like not at allll… but last month one of my close friends told me about a book she heard was really good and we decided to give it a try! This book brought much needed healing to my life and heart. I really encourage you ladies to give it a chance and take the time to allow God to speak to you through it. Here are a few of the things that most stood out to me…

Without your identity in Christ there is nothing solid to fall back on when you face rejection, a bad experience, or sny pain life brings.“The beliefs you hold should hold you up even when life feels like it’s falling apart.”

To establish this security it takes TEARING OUT THE OLD!!

Tear out old patterns, thoughts, ways & replace it with Gods proclaimed truth.

“I align my truth with his truth, the more closely I identify with God the more my identity is rly in him… My identity must be anchored to the truth of who God is and who God is to me.”

PUTTING IN THE NEW:

Lysa explains how this renewing process starts with three questions: “is God good?, is God good to me? Do I trust God to be God? Though what is going on around you may not be good… God is still good, He is still good to you, & it’s your job to trust Him.

Lysa also included different prayers to say throughout to be able to speak these new ways into existence. She gives different struggles of life that everyone goes through including: friendship breakups, being rejected, being heartbroken, trust issues, honesty about who you are, & lots more! Each chapter is like a breath of fresh air in all different areas and realities of life.

Romans 8:5 & 6~ For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Thank you Lysa for pouring your heart out in this book and allowing God to use you to bring healing to many girls, including myself!
